Today is officially the first day of spring! Happy spring to each and all! To celebrate! I picked up some flowers at my local HEB. I spotted these beautiful white roses, purple flowers and some baby’s breath to make an arrangement for the bedroom. I made a spring vignette and on display is a white ceramic basket, I purchased at an antique shop. I added a pink scarf to compliment the pastel painting.
Because of the pandemic, it gave me the chance to learn a new medium. I love art and always wanted to try soft pastels. The painting you see, I painted in the early stages of lock down. Pastels are not as easy as I thought it would be! But it’s a challenge, I’ve enjoyed!
One of my favorite shops is the “Red Queen’s Attic” located in Rosenberg, TX. This is where we found this beautiful vintage dresser. If you are ever in the area, I highly recommend checking it out! http://www.redqueensattic.com/
The vintage dresser is such a lovely piece and because it’s a small dresser, it fits perfectly in the corner of the bedroom and offers some much needed storage. The white ceramic pitcher you can find at Walmart.
Another corner of the room is my bedside dresser! I made a simple flower arrangement here and added a couple of books & a vintage camera. Simply beautiful!
Wishing you a wonderful spring season!

Once again….”House Beautiful” layout! You do have talent and a great eye for composition. Having a husband who is as dedicated to function and style as you,….helps! You two are “Saw-Mates.”
What you saw, he can make! Another work of art
