Tuesday morning we woke up with temps in the teens, snow and no power. I thought I would share some pictures of this unprecedented event. Thank goodness we survived the freeze with no frozen pipes. I can officially say, I am ready for Spring!
The back porch stairs.
Dale prepared our water well and water filter by surrounding everything with hay and covering it with a tarp. Our water well did not freeze.
Our driveway.
The house across the street looks so beautiful with snow.
Having a propane cooker helped us cook our meals during the power outages.
French press came in handy!
Views from inside the house. When you have no power, what do you do? Read and look out the window, a lot!
Front porch.
Dale and I enjoyed looking at all the birds visiting.
Back ramp.
Texas patio.
The street look so pretty covered in snow.

I saw cardinals for the first time when I was in Texas…so pretty. Hope you all managed to stay warm.

So glad you were prepared as much as possible for the cold weather. Such a blessing for you not to have broken pipes. It must have been very cold with no heat. Thankfully the temperature is warming up. Take care and enjoy the sunshine.
