I’ve put all my winter holiday home decorations away, which always kinda makes me feel a little down or maybe it’s because of the shorter days. Maybe so, but I’m trying to cherish the season (Winter) because I feel it’s important to rest, retreat as much as possible. My word for the year is SIMPLICITY! This year I plan to keep my home decor simple. I think by now everyone knows I don’t like clutter. I like more of an airy feel to my home, but that’s just me! I have to admit I do admire others who can put lots knick knacks together and it looks wonderful!
It helps to put a lamp on the kitchen counter for those dreary days like today.
I put some faux lavender flowers to brighten up this space.
For my window sill I am displaying my white milk glass with faux greenery and a mini succulent.
“Winter is the time for comfort, for good food and warmth, for the touch of a friendly hand and for a talk beside the fire: it is the time for a home.” – Edith Sitwell
Be blessed, Elizabeth
