Bathhouse Floors & Shower

This is Part Seven in the continuation of our Outdoor Bathhouse DIY project! For the floors we decided to go with tile! The tile is American made and we purchased the tile from Lowes. What I love about the tile, is it was fairly inexpensive and it looks like we installed wood floors. Dale plans to install tin for the shower walls.

Dale used a dark brown grout.

Tile floor installed.

We installed a 36 X 36 Swanstone shower pan.

Dale installed a mold resistant sheetrock.

Here you can see the plywood behind the sheetrock, which will make it easier to mount towel racks, etc. and will make it easier to fastened the tin.

Ready to install the tin.

Dale is preparing the tin for the shower.

Copper tubing for the faucets.

We are happy to finish this part of our DIY outdoor bathhouse!

Until next time, Elizabeth

  1. I love the wood look tile floors! Beautiful and practical for your outdoor bath house. The tin walls in the shower are really nice. I know you have both worked very hard on this project. Looking forward to more posts. Always a pleasure to see what you are creating.
