Month of May Home Decor

Fun home decor vignettes and more.

Hello and welcome to my home! Dale and I have been taking a break from home projects this month and enjoying our time off. Spring is in the air and we are savoring it! My roses are blooming and my zinnias are flowering, which brings me joy!

I’ve created some simple vignettes for my monthly home decor. Enjoy!

A single Julia Child yellow rose in a clear vase is all you need.

Make it special by serving a banana smoothie poured in a stemless champagne flute. Purchased at Target in the dollar section.

My first spring mini flower arrangement for the year. Tazo Green Ginger tea you can find at Walmart, served in my Petite Flora ironstone tea cup.

Zinnias and Cinco de mayo roses.

Speaking of Cinco de Mayo, I made Migas for breakfast.

Kitchen buffet.

The pitcher and bowls are Better Homes & Gardens, Walmart find. Round basket from Goodwill. The wood stump was from a cottonwood tree we cut down. Sanded and polyurethane.

Our pantry is full due to buying more non-perishable items. I’ve been storing our dry goods in these clear containers, you can find at Walmart. The clear containers look great on the buffet and solves our pantry problem.

Dining room shelf. Made this little bouquet of dried zinnias tied with some twine, goes perfectly here with my lavender print & dried lavender stems.

Until next time, Elizabeth

  1. Again…outstanding photography, “Home and Garden” worthy!! Love your simplicity of style which is a, “Big Statement with Simple Pieces.” I’ve seen many of your pictures/projects in Crystal’s, “Mobile Home Living.” Your work is an inspiration to all of us you have,
    “Wheel Estate.”
