Hello and Happy February! January sure did go by fast didn’t it? Today I’m sharing with you my monthly decor, which I plan to post once a month for 2020. My monthly decor will be either a vignette, tablescape of some kind or room decor. I will also make sure to share any of our DIY home projects too!
February is all about love and heart health, so I thought I would talk about it all! Ha-ha! Last year we had two family weddings and my oldest daughter Irene was one of them! I wanted to share with you one of my favorite wedding pictures of her special day!
Love Is In The Air
This picture was taken right after the ceremony and I love my daughter’s smile.
In the mood for Red Velvet Cake?
Isn’t this cake beautiful!? My daughter Mary is a food blogger and I thought I would share this recipe. Go here to get the recipe. While your there be sure to subscribe to her blog. She has lots of delicious recipes!
I rarely get manicures, for many reasons. One, my schedule is busy. Two, nail polish doesn’t last on me. After all, you guys know I have working hands! Ha-ha! So why bother! When I saw these nail strips that my friend Terri had on her Facebook page I thought I would give them a try. The color I’m wearing is Positively Pink. I love them!! The nail strips lasted me ten days, which is a record for me! I thought this would be a fun beauty tip to share with you.

February Home Decor
When I decorate my home I always shop my house first then add inexpensive items to complete the look.
I purchased these paper plates from HEB and placed them in front of my small white plates. I got the idea from my daughter Mary, who decorated her Fourth of July tablescape using paper plates. Great idea! The Champagne glasses I found at Target’s dollar section for $3.00 for the set. The small sign is a Walmart find for under $3.00. The upper shelf I displayed my nephew’s wedding invitation who also just recently got married this last December.
I love decorating my little open shelf. I simply placed one of my favorite heart pottery pitcher’s here. The canisters and the bowl I purchased at Walmart, Better Homes & Gardens home decor. The love sign is another Walmart find for under $5.00.
I absolutely love this heart topiary. It looks beautiful on top of our vintage dresser.
I love incorporating books in my home decor. You can find books inexpensively at Goodwill. Dried flowers add a special touch.
Yes there is love in the air at the Phillips Place! I hope you enjoyed this post!
Wishing you a Happy Valentine’s Day and remember to make your home your own, till next time, Elizabeth
