Hello everyone and welcome to my blog!! I know it’s been a while since I’ve posted, Dale and I have been taking a break from home projects for the rest of this year. We use to be all about work and no play, but lately we’ve been making sure to play more! Ha-ha! I will post soon about what plans we have for next year!
I am enjoying my newly updated kitchen and dining room! I’m amazed how you can change a room by simply painting it! Add a little wood trim here and there, and WOW! Big transformation! Decorating this season has been fun for me! I’ve kept it simple. Enjoy my kitchen and dining room Christmas tour!
Beautiful white poinsettia from HEB, goes perfectly here on the buffet. The two faux green wreaths I purchased at an antique shop and also found this nativity scene at the same shop.
The framed picture you see here is very special to me. My youngest daughter and her school mates made these one year for their Christmas Play. (Christmas Program) I always display them every year, I have two.
For my table center piece I purchased the faux greenery from Walmart. I added pine cones and dried zinnias to the greenery and placed inside a wood tray. White milk glass bowl is one of my collectibles and the glass lantern was handed down to my husband from his grandmother. She said she would use this lantern when working on her school work.
The sign above the door I’ve had for years. I inserted some greenery and gold ornamental stems inside a basket and placed some pine cones in front. A friend took the time to write my name and glued a red faux poinsettia to the green gift bag that was given to me and I now display every year.
Red poinsettia from HEB. I placed inside a silver sleigh.
Love the little things like this Santa salt pepper shaker.
I always look forward to pulling out my Mud Pie apron. I do use an apron when I bake.
Surrounded the candle glass vase with faux greenery, same greenery I made the table center piece. Added pine cones and green ornaments.
My sweet husband Dale surprised me with these beautiful flowers and they go perfectly here on the kitchen island.
I love displaying my Better Homes & Gardens Heritage Collection on my new to me hutch.
I will soon be in the kitchen baking something, which is what I like to do this time of year! Ha-ha! Wishing you and yours a very Merry Christmas!!
Until next time, Elizabeth
