Dale’s Wish List

Hello and Happy Spring to everyone! Good things happening here at the Phillips Place! My oldest daughter got married last month and she had a beautiful wedding! It was nice to gather with friends and family for this special occasion! But after the wedding I was literately mentally and physically tired! I am happy to get back to our regular schedule! πŸ˜‰

My last post I mentioned, “Our wish list for 2019.” Well, guess what!? Dale got his wish! Ha-ha! I’m pretty sure you didn’t know this about him, he loves motorcycles!! Dale lost his 1986 Honda Nighthawk S that he restored to the 2016 flood. We had not been able to replace his bike until now. Another thing you probably did not know! I love to ride with him! We are both delighted to have a motorcycle and it’s even better because the bike we purchased is a touring bike which will suit the both of us!

Dale found the bike online at Cycle Trader. He’s been on the lookout for a Yamaha FJR 1300 for awhile. Finally! He found one for sale in the state of Missouri! During our Spring break and right before the wedding we took a 3 day trip to pick it up! I know, CRAZY! We both feel in love with the bike and he drove the bike home while I followed him back.

The afternoon we left Missouri it was in the 30’s and very windy. It definitely did not feel like spring weather.

Well if you’ve been following us for a while, you know it’s taken a couple of years to recover from the flood and a few more working on our home DIY projects. I think it’s about time we have some play time! Don’t you think? It can’t always be all work and no play! Ha-ha!

Last weekend we took the FJR out and I would like to share some images I took while on our joy ride. Enjoy!

This beautiful white house with the wisterias in full bloom caught my eye!
Texas Bluebonnets

While taking pictures of the white house with the bluebonnets, a little surprise happened! Three curious goats came out to greet me! I love it when something like this happens! You see, I believe that God speaks to us through his creation, nature and people. Such a blessing!

P.S. We’ve started on my wish list! Elizabeth
