Hello! August seems to be going by quickly! Ha-ha! I’ve been busy re-potting some of my plants that have outgrown their pots and getting rid of some plants that have succumb to the heat here in Texas. For me it’s a good time to start thinking about fall flowers and hoping that my garden will continue to produce vegetables. My zinnias are still doing great and hopefully will bloom until late fall!
Today I wanted to show you some of my potted plants out on the back porch. The porch is our second living space, especially when fall weather hits! I love to keep it looking nice with assortments of plants, flowers and seasonal decor. It sets the mood for times of relaxation.
Back Porch
I just gave a haircut to the middle plant I call it my spike fern, not sure the correct name along with some creeping jenny’s.
My white impatiens are hanging in there.
I’ve had this singer wrought iron table for years and it has serve me well.
Mother-In-Law’s Tongue
I’ve had these iron roosters for years and thought this would be a good place for them.
The red design ceramic pot I found at Walmart, Better Home & Gardens. The Ivy goes well in this beautiful pot.
I hope you enjoyed seeing my little porch corner! Have a wonderful week!
I DREAM of my porch being pretty. Someday soon…

Such an inviting porch. I’ve just finished giving my plants “haircuts” too. Your spike fern is actually an asparagus fern. They are very easy to care for and do not succumb easily. I love their wispy airy look. Yours is a pretty addition to your vignette of greenery. Thank you for sharing your creativity. Such a treat. Have a great week.

Pretty porch! I love your plants and the way you display them. If I am not mistaken, your “spiky fern” is an Asparagus Fern. They are beautiful but can get kind of stringy so it helps to trim them as you have done. So nice that you have such a comfortable, quiet & beautiful
porch where you can relax. Love all of your posts.
