Home Office Under Construction

Now the down and dirty begins!

Once we cleared the room we had a blank slate. The first thing my husband did to the room was move the air vent to a new location, so we can add a closet to the front wall.

New vent moved.

Before you can see the pretty you have to see the ugly.

He then removed the damaged wood under the window and replaced with new two by fours. Dale also added two by fours to the wall on the bathroom side for extra strength. Originally the wall had one by fours and we plan to install shelves there later.

NOW the down and dirty begins! Dale removes all the chipboard and as you can see it’s a dirty job. Not fun!

Dale is standing on the ground.

Creative third hand.

2 x 6’s were laid horizontal under the existing floor/wall for extra reinforcement and to support the new floor.

A 3/4 inch ledger was added to hold the foam board.

Caulk has been applied to the edges of the foam board.

Dale sure is glad that’s over! Ha-ha! It’s all downhill from here.

Thank you for stopping by.

I'm an early riser, just can't wait to see what the day has to offer! Lately on a Dunkin Donut kick, love their Latte's. I enjoy hanging out with my husband Dale, he is the coolest guy I know! Recently discovered Instagram! You can find me at brownblueyed. Most importantly enjoying the simple things in life.
